Responsive Web Design with Freelancing

Course Overview:

In this course you will learn how to apply concepts from interaction design and human computer interaction in order to design and build an interactive, professional looking website. You will learn how to make your web page designs adapt to different screen sizes using responsive grid layouts. You will learn how to add navigation and other design elements, and you will learn how to separate data and display using JavaScript objects and templates. You’ll also learn about jQuery plugins and basic WordPress Theme Customization.

Course Module:

Module 1: HTML & HTML5

Module 2: Intro to CSS and CSS3

Module 3: Intro to Bootstrap

Module 4: Intro to JavaScript and JQuery

Module 5: WordPress Basics and WordPress Themes (installation,integration,customization)

Module 6: Branding on freelancing Marketplace

Module 7: How to create profile and portfolio on Freelancing marketplace

Module 8: How to bid on marketplace

Module 9: How to write professional cover letter

Module 10: How to communicate with clients

Course Outcomes :

  1. Student will be proficient in the following technologies:
    1. HTML 5, CSS 3, JQuery, JavaScript, Bootstrap, WordPress
  2. Students will receive language training appropriate for Freelance markets places and international client communication
  3. Student will be able to develop full websites, including:
    1. responsive (mobile friendly)
    2. landing pages
  4. Students will be able to create HTML email templates
  5. Student will have working experience in all major freelance market places
  6. Student will be instructed on the fundamentals of:
    1. Effective branding as a freelancer
    2. Creating an effective 100% complete profile on Freelance market places
    3. How to communicate with the client
    4. How to bid and win jobs
    5. How to manage projects and receive high ratings

Course requirements/ prerequisites :

  1. Basic knowledge of PCs, MS Windows, internet and online proficiency
  2. Basic knowledge of English (reading/writing/speaking)
  3. Familiarity with coding (for HTML/ CSS etc)
